“This is the most awesome place in the world. I fell in my church sanctuary in November of 2017 and ended up with a bulging disc at L/4-L/5 with impingement (trapped) of the sciatic nerve. The pain had become unbearable even though I was taking pain medication and muscle relaxers. The pain was excruciating, and only allowed me to sleep from 3 to 4 hours at night. I tried Physical Therapy, no help at all, then I was sent to a Pain Management Clinic for months of nothing but cortisone injections by epidural and injections, absolutely no help at all. I was at my wits end when I arrived here for a long visit with my sister. She helped me find Beachside Community Acupuncture and the very wonderful, educated Acupuncturist Dr. Kathleen Ellerie, an Angel. I have other health problems from Nueropathy, to a badly repaired wrist break (both bones from a fall), headaches and the list goes one. When my first Visit was complete I had tears of joy, for the 1st time in 2 and 1/2 years my pain was relieved in my spine and was stunned. The next visit reinforced the back since I had done things I was told not to do. The next visit was a real eye opener, when the treatment was completed and she was removing the needles, I told her something unusual was happening in the soles of my feet. She gently cradled my foot and placed her cold hand on my foot and I began crying, I had not had any feeling in the bottoms of my feet for over 12 years and I could feel her cold hands, oh what joy I felt and still do. The visit this week was yet another eye opener, my neuropathy that went from my soles of my feet all the way to my hips and recently presented itself in my arms, well once again my tears began to flow, I am able to feel a portion of my lower legs and my wrist pain is lessening. I will see her twice this next week before returning to Alabama and I can hardly wait to see what nerve or area she awakens for me. Please understand that this is totally unsolicited, in fact Dr. Kathleen Ellerie has no idea that I am posting this recommendation. I will tell her when I see her. I never thought that Acupuncture administered by the very educated, talented and caring Dr. Kathleen Ellerie would give me such awesome results. GO SEE FOR YOURSELF, IT WORKS AND SHE IS TRULY AN ANGEL. I wish I could take her back to Alabama with me. “Absolutely amazing experience here, I will be going nowhere else but here! i have PCOS and I have been trying since December of last year to have a period, I’ve desperately tried herbal remedies, supplements, eating as clean as possible and tried practicing ways to stay stress-free to help Induce a period because my primary doctor was becoming concerned with my thickened uterus lining build up from not having periods (I was prescribed birth control but I wanted a more holistic natural approach to this problem) I was scared it was going to turn into some kind of uterine cancer with all the buildup, My next two options was to get a massage under my stomach to stimulate my uterus to bleed. Or to get acupuncture and I decided to just get acupuncture because I’ve heard some women have induced their periods this way, I didn’t really believe a couple of needles would help but as soon as I was done, I headed to my car and on my way home I noticed my breasts were very tender but I ignored it because I was like “no way this is actually a sign of a period coming?” as i drove, I stopped by downtown McKinney to pick up some sushi and I headed home to eat and I went Into a very deep sleep afterwards, when I woke up, my significant other told me that I was laughing and laughing in my sleep which I thought that was weird but pretty cool? anyway three days later I finally had a period after six months of not having one!!! I felt like there was an old untouched dusty switch in my body that finally got switched on with these needles! it woke something up that i’ve been desperately trying to wake up myself! I am so relieved and glad that I took a day off from work to get this done, I am definitely coming back!! (once i get more pto from my job lol) Thank you so much ?”

“I have been a patient of Kathleen at Beachside Community Acupuncture for about eight months. This follows weekly visits of neurotonal chiropractic for six years (two minutes of treatment on the table). Neurotonal chiropractic gave me little to no relief from lower back pain, arthritis in my wrists, knee soreness and sleep issues. After approximately one month of acupuncture, I noticed immediate relief in my wrists and lower back. After the first month of treatments, I could easily pick up a full pot of coffee, a gallon of milk, etc. without any wrist pain. Not only has my sleep improved immensely, Kathleen discusses reasons for not falling asleep quickly or waking up in the middle of the night and offers sound advice. I choose an hour session weekly and Kathleen spends a good ten minutes going over the previous week and issues that we discussed the week before and I still receive a full hour of treatment. Since she moved to McKinney, I drive thirty-five minutes each way to her new office for my visits....well worth the drive. Her professionalism and care is great and she communicates extremely well. “Ive been going to Beachside for almost a year now, my mom recommended it specifically because of the choose your price model. Im not working currently and couldnt afford the usual rates. Not only that everyone who works there is amazing. I go specifically to Xenia, just adore her. She has become a true friend to my mom and I. I moved to texas in 2020 and was used to acupuncture being easy to find in the PNW, there are offices and docs everywhere. Here its a bit more tough. Especially to find a place of such quality. I love the naturopath help they give on top of the acupuncture. I look forward to my visits so much and hope to start going again soon, I had a break due to a move. The focused care and the meditation of sitting for an hour is a great part of my week. Plus it helps so much with my specific issues.”

“What a great place !!! The attention you get here is much more individualized , versus some of the chain acupuncture places around Dallas . A treatment with Kathleen is more like a doctor's visit . She takes the time to sit down with you prior to each treatment and go over what's working for you and to discuss any concerns . She's thorough and knowledgeable about Oriental medicine . You never feel rushed. The treatments you receive are very effective for whatever pain you're going through. Price-wise you get a longer treatment for cheaper than other places charge . She's the best , and the awards she has won confirm that. I had to interrupt my treatments because of some other issues, but I can't wait to get back there. 6 Stars !”

“Went for my first time to try acupuncture for the pain in my legs from running. Kathleen was very nice and informative regarding the whole process. Once she went over any concerns I had...it was time for the acupuncture. I was a little nervous but as she said it was a little lunch and nothing else. You have an hour to relax while doing the procedure. You sit in a recliner, with nice waves in the background, with light coming just from the windows which allows you to relax. I was able to relax and feel some relief from my left knee. The relief is not immediate but if done over time it’ll provide relief. It’s on a sliding scale after the initial consultation and I plan to go back. With the running I do...I need some relief.”

“From start to finish, this was a fantastic experience! Kathleen has such a calming presence about her. She’s also so informative about the whole process and what to expect. The environment is also calming as well. There are salt lamps in various spots which I liked since we have them at home. The space is a shared space with others. It’s very quiet and there is calming music as well. You have up to a hour to chill once the needles are put in. Kathleen has a great touch so none of the needles really hurt. I already feel pretty good. I want to definitely go back!”

“Today was my first visit with Kathleen,She welcomed me in warmly. The space is very clean and quite relaxing. The room is dark, cool, and the sound of the ocean calmed me. The needles don’t hurt at all as she affirmed she is light handed. You get up to an entire hour to rest or meditate during treatment. It went by so fast!
