“After coming home at 10am on a Friday, I used the remote, and the door only went up a few inches before collapsing down on one side. We called B&H Garage Door Repair showed up by 1:30pm the same day. He quickly identified the problem as a broken cable, and told me I would need to replace both cables (as a set). Parts and labor came to $215. It was a little higher than I had hoped, but I've watched someone fix a garage door before, and I know there are a lot of tricks to the trade. It can be costly, and even dangerous to try and do it yourself. I asked him if that price included adjusting the tension as well, and how much it would be to have him lube the door (which I usually do myself). I figured it would be worth some money to see A) what he lubed, and B) what he used to do it. He said, those things are included in the price. What?!? I was sold, and asked him if he would like to get started. Not only did he do everything he said he would, but he left my door in better condition than it had been in years (maybe ever). He noted that sensors were too high (4-6 inches off the ground, by code), and moved them down at no additional charge. In addition to lubing the door and retensioning the springs, he also lubed the track for the opener, which apparently, had never been lubed even by the original installers. Finally, he adjusted the set points (open and close positions) correctly, which had either been set incorrectly by the last guy out to fix a broken screen, or he never bother to adjust them after installing a new spring. The lack of lube, the incorrect set points, the too-low tension - All these things were causing a lot of stress on the motor, which I could hear, but thought was normal. Now, it runs more quietly, and all the problems were corrected and included as part of the service. Expensive? probably saved us from having to buy a new motor. Thanks, B&H Garage Door Repair. “Super quick response and awesome service. Emailed about an appointment at about 7pm on Friday and He responded and set me up with an estimate window for 11-2 the next day. Also provided a ballpark quote for removal of existing and installation of two new openers I had purchased then realized was not in my wheelhouse to actually install. He showed up somewhere around noon or so on Saturday and after assessing the work quoted me a very fair price and said he could do it right then if I was interested...umm yeah I was. One week of parking in driveway and running through house to open the third bay was enough. I needed that opener ASAP. Got to work and with a couple hours I was set up with two new quiet operational openers and was one very happy customer. Less than 24 hours from inquiry to complete No upselling, no BS about not being able to install the specific openers I bought just ridiculously fast and courteous service. He even took the old track and opener away. Would highly recommend and will contact them again for maintenance and some upgrades to some of the old original door parts like the rollers. “A few days ago my garage door cable came off, and i did not noticed during the time that my spring had broke in half. After looking on Top Rated Local and seen the good reviews for BB&H Garage Door Repair i decided to give them a call, the woman on the phone was very nice and stated to me that they were working on Sunday also and have a opening for the Techician to come over between 11-12 noon. He called me prior to coming over and arrived witin the time window, he quickly seen what the problem was and gave me the quote to replace the spring and also lubricate the movings parts , in addition he answer all of my questions concering upgrades, keypad use. “So, I came home today and heard a loud bang! About an hour later, I found out my garage door spring broke and my door kept opening and closing.
