“I had a bad experience with Ross Mortuary. I am a childhood friend of Joy Ferguson and I attended her visitation on Saturday, March 9, 2023. They were very insensitive to giving me one (1) program to take to my mother who was a life long friend of the Fergusons. I explained that my mother was disabled and unable to attend. They asked it I could wait until the family walked in and then I could get a program. I waited. After the family walked in, the woman walking with about a thousand programs refused to give me one after I was trying to explain that I had to leave and we were life long friends of the Fergusons. We lived in the same neighborhood and attended the same church This woman kept walking with the programs after I was trying g to get one and tell her they had asked me to wait until the family walked in. She was rude, kept walking and pretty much dismissed what I was trying to tell her! I hope she didn't think I was about to run behind her! SHE DIDN'T CARE!! I subsequently walked out the front door and left! I have a pre-planned funeral and it is NOT handled by Ross! I am embarrassed for the family about the way one of the guests who took time out to come and say goodbye was treated so poorly! Black people have to do better! What a mess!”
